The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 台词诗意，影片戏剧化，并不是拍莎翁的要领。
一般…故事倒没的说 镜头太单一台词太多，舞台剧的纪录片… 既然是电影就多加一点电影独有的优势进来嘛
布景完美致敬后者，配上极简的构图，让观众的注意力几乎全部集中在演员的表演和台词上，让人感受纯粹舞台剧的魅力。

麦克白的悲剧，重点放在“悲剧”二字上。基本上在黑白光影中将暗处的悲剧呈现出来，阴暗是绝对的黑，偶尔侧身时似乎还有光。大段大段体现矛盾心理的台词，给眼睛“窒息”感，很精彩、很累。极简黑白风又像杂志插画，略显刻意了。

I have no words it’s so well made in every single aspect. I loved the witches, the birds, the leaves, the girl in the water, the monologue. Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington are THE actors of their generation. Will need a rewatch with subtitles in the future.
五星，近乎完美。黑白的摄影和极致的打光构图相融合，4:3的画幅比例和舞台剧版风格，演员近乎神一般的演出和令人咋舌且精准的调度，乔尔科恩利用这些并以一种古典史诗悲怆的调子构成了这出《麦克白》。他以近乎极其个性化的风格来讲述麦克白这个悲剧故事——被欲望蒙蔽了理智，从一个错误不可避免走向另一个错误，在恐惧和残暴笼罩下被砍下了头。乔尔科恩好似以他的影像为莎士比亚招魂，最后一刻，群鸦飞过，莎翁现身。

就算在A24的量产风格里也不算优质作品吧。摄影打光是很美，可场景和表演太割裂了，完全是各演各的搭不上戏。难受，不属于我想看的电影，或者应该说它哪里像电影了！
丹泽尔·华盛顿舞台感强，科恩嫂不太适合这类片，开场几个角色——国王、上尉都戏剧感十足，女巫是最大亮点。不知为什么，其他人戏剧性独白都没什么，男女主却有点别扭。
这个黑白对路，和极简背景相得益彰。台词，表演，人像特写都是教科书级别的。
ps.科恩嫂什么都好，就是走路姿势注意一下，自身走路方式太有标志性了
大科恩的改编剧本太保守了，戏剧舞台和电影结合，台词几乎莎翁原版，剧情也好像没什么变化。还是现代改编老作品的一贯视角，所谓结构经典神话勾连现代人们的精神困境，这点倒不是乔伊斯的意识流味儿而是偏精神分析各种符号的生添硬加。
是否那个文本本身太有能量了，你们各自取一瓢改出自己的个性范儿，怎么折腾改编，都不容易垮掉啊？好想知道答案[流泪][大哭]。
