The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 作为一部儿童恐怖片，它在“儿童”和“恐怖”两种类型之间平衡得很好，既有属于童话的纯真、奇幻和成长意义，也不乏惊悚效果极佳的恐怖桥段和元素，对主角的塑造也充满恐怖影迷情结，甚至还能将“糖果屋”这一旧童话故事进行续写并成为情节发展的重大转折。当然对大多数成年观众来说，这种低龄化的简单故事未必还能引起太多兴趣，但能够在有限的尺度范围内做到这种程度已经算相当不错了。

魔童的导演，水平还是不行，差点睡着，故事不行，想像力不行，节奏不行

电影几乎都是在棚内拍摄的，知道导演在叙事上下了不少功夫，但是网大的局限性还是很大，希望还是赚点钱，早点出去布景拍摄的，3星就当支持了。
前面真的有趣又可爱，但是后面男孩的动机真的让我有点摸不着头脑，让我结局观感不太好。
