The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 虽然三个小时但是节奏竟然很可以，虽然无视一切物理规则但是看完很是感动，只想大喊一声：拉朱毕姆结尾的歌舞为何竟不是在你俩婚礼上！

一部自反再自反的"character-driven adult drama"（如剧中人所说），过气演员和不知名编导为你mansplain cinema然后一边聊一边让事情发生，一边把电影拍出来。复活节的晚上电影院坐满男女老少，很多哄堂大笑的瞬间，还是不错的喜剧片，重在氛围。
