The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 以废土朋克风格定格动画表现的混合了宗教奇幻和政治隐喻的文明兴衰故事。本片的形式和主题高度统一，其黑色调性很容易使人联想到 Tim Burton 的一系列作品，但残酷程度则远甚之。影片的想象力之深刻壮阔令人叹服。

艹，牛逼。其实本来不是我的审美，但强势征服了我，让我赞叹不止。如果它出周边我应该会买的
动画做出了许多真人无法通过演绎表达的东西，怪诞的作画也能看出许多对人类的隐喻，可整部电影的连贯性并不强，前半部分的惊艳到了最后也变成了空虚。
各种超越现知的猎奇画面真的让人瞠目结舌，确实很震撼。
