The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 元素太多，不知所云，不过很末世/宿命论；在定格动画/三维cg/真人cg糅的很6，成片风格很统一
邪典具象符号隐喻之作，血腥暴力的无限轮回。
筹备了三十多年做出的定格动画，虽然不解其深意，但我大为震撼，频频作呕。
导演最后一行字幕坐实他脑中的片名其实是「张伯伦：被误解的英雄」
废土朋克+定格动画+末日题材+光怪陆离的血腥场景，看得出想映射核爆、压迫、专制的现实意义，可惜的是画风太过恶心，引起生理不适，快进着看完的。
暗黑怪诞，令人不适，似乎又充满隐喻，充满了现在电影作品里少有的想象力和独创性。得以窥探到菲尔·蒂佩特的脑内世界，他是一位怀有双向情感障碍，沉浸在自我世界的定格动画天才。

我该怎么说啦，第一遍看是荒谬和混乱的。并没有想看第二遍的欲望。所以不存在更深层次的解读。欲尝试将埋在影片里的折射与影子拼凑完整再讲出来，最后想想。为什么要给作者解释，或者为了我有多明白他？当然都不是。如果蛋糕切的每一块都是一个作品，我会给他4分，但这一整个蛋糕，我只能给他3分。
这是一首从一堆颓靡的腐朽里呓语出的万物起源与毁灭的歌赞，与其称作“疯神”，倒不如所称作为“封神”

电影结尾写着Munich Agreement为英国及联盟换来时间备战，就像高赞说的—导演脑中的片名其实是<张伯伦: 被误解的英雄>。讽刺的是，1938年英法德意搞定了Settlement of the Czechoslovak ，把Sudetenland拱手相让给德国，而捷克只能任人宰割。

末世噩梦，实验性很强，能引申出许多世界设定
道具精良，然而孤落寡闻如我只能理解个只言片语。
