The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 本片在动作戏上的最大特色是用穿越机拍摄，也就是高速无人机，由19岁的世界穿越机冠军操控，手法非常了得，给观众带来了与众不同的新奇视效。如果不是预先知道影片有穿越机参与拍摄，很多新奇的拍摄视角和镜头会让人以为是CG特效的结晶。
