The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 渐入佳境。前半段过于凌乱，穿插过于密集，最后30分钟节奏进入正轨，情感浓度上升。（怀才不遇的追梦故事实在是缺乏新鲜感，我反而更好奇《傲慢》的故事
没有《吉屋出租》乃至百老汇的基础储备，要入戏确实有些障碍，就叙事性来说，根本和《爱乐之城》没法比，确实很难称为电影，又不是音乐剧，某些地方是情景剧的处理手法，总体更接近实景补拍完整的NT live，加菲全程表现高光，感觉比他之前演的电影都要来劲，巨投入，也许这就是舞台艺术的魅力吧。
歌好听，加菲演技好绝，梦想很美好也很残酷，幸而我们见证了一个梦想的成功，同时也为那些曾经奋斗过但没有实现的梦想鼓掌。

在很多部影视作品中，90年代总是显得如此具有悲情色彩。真的很喜欢rent的seasons of love，观剧时明明自己之前完全不知道这部剧的内容，听到这首歌时感觉全身毛孔都打开了。
EP.1-7 《无限列车》
美国梦主旋律电影。以歌舞类型来呈现，叙事支零破碎，大幅消解了主人公原型本身浓厚的悲剧色彩。加菲与原型相比只有形似，表演出了年轻人的激情，却没什么艺术家气质。但此类悲剧艺术家的传记片，总是会博得颁奖季的青睐，啧啧啧。

很工整的一部电影，加菲及各演员的表现都很棒，音乐也还行。节奏来说稍微有点紧，叙事很复杂的情况下加入了歌舞，总觉得很赶。那段爱情真的很可惜。
