续集是公路片，一家人开车环游美国，犹如美国旅游宣传片，美国著名景点一览无余，不过如此走遍美国的剧情设计和剧情实质关联不大，不走景点同样可以完成剧情
比第一部好很多很多，编剧终于知道这部剧的内核是什么怪东西了，但是从怪兽大战开始到后面的派对，只能说为了票房而屈服了一些，连带着环游本土取景为了观众有代入感，虽然毫无意义，但从商业角度也可以理解吧。最后，长毛表哥突然开口变狗哥属于意外之喜了。
