The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 因为阿伦·艾佛森，所以曾关注过76人队，也因此，对这部电影来了兴趣。与通常运动纪录片不同的是，这部电影的重点不在运动员，而在篮球作为商业运作对象之一时所呈现的林林总总。一方面，影片刻画了球探为了培养出自己的明日之星的努力，但另一方面，也表现了其商业面貌——球探可以毫无感情的出卖球员（影片最后）。所以，这项竞技运动，可不仅仅发生在场上而已。
没有想象中的激动人心，感觉还不如看一场比赛。
对于一个篮球迷来说，就中间那段训练很有趣，“训练你的这一个月是我最开心的时光”……然后其他的，逻辑性太弱了，毫无吸引力，当然，男主的表演一直很精彩。

标准的体育传记电影，天才-被打击-努力-成就辉煌的固定模式虽然人人皆知，可是看起来还是依然热血沸腾，亚当桑德勒都要60岁了，还是展现出无与伦比的个人魅力，就是深爱这个平凡质朴的大叔。
虽然是俗套的运动励志类故事，但依然觉得好看，男主演功不可没。美国是个相信强者的地方，靠交情和求人是得不来机会的，还是要靠实力。
