The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 难以形容温子仁脑子里都装着怎样令人震惊的一个个恐怖故事。
我缓缓打出一个问号，这配乐和音效是认真的吗。追逐戏里的警察仿佛里昂附身，加上挺多场景都有re的痕迹，既然如此不如设定再大胆一点，但结尾又耍回温情加悬疑。温子仁就是自己玩爽了，但从视效到故事都让人失望，连以前能把人吓尿的镜头都抛弃了。
捨本逐末的創新，有一些噱頭，最後還是顯得空洞啊。
寄生人被切掉了只剩下共享的一点脑子，能钻出来还带着牙齿和眼睛，钻回去头皮自动会缝合，能控制电流和无线电，like really？
看前面还在感慨温子仁怎么开始走下坡路了，看最后三十分钟，卧槽，不愧是你温子仁。最后的警察局大战，恍惚中以为又看到一个女版约翰威克，这战力就是让她加入DC宇宙都不成问题

giao啊！giao！！！温子仁在我心里地位又提升了，依旧能看到《招魂》系列中炉火纯青的惊吓节奏，但在此之上又开辟了一片新的恐怖领域，大搞铅黄爽到离谱不说，温子仁真的是速7海王游了一圈儿，超级英雄般的身体机能配以流畅运镜（就…就有点儿，wait奈特·沙马兰来电话了）崩盘致死的环球暗黑宇宙悔恨的眼泪和羡慕的口水此时此刻汇到了一起

除了寄生胎战斗力不科学之外，其它都挺好的，布景和惊悚氛围一流，就是打斗场景过多略显无聊
肢体反转，连体人，听起来概念很好，但完成度真的有点搞笑，把前面铺设的冷峻都破坏了，邪性程度甚至没有《白发魔女传》里的连体大反派带感。
3星半。虽然低于预期，但成片完成度非常高，故事创意也很有意思，仍然是在类型片水准之上的娱乐片。温子仁的惊悚恐怖片依然值得信赖。
思路不错，故事不行，温在忙什么，没用心还是再也没有招魂12那种作品了

哎……
我觉得至少7分吧，故事很精彩啊，可能因为温子仁导演大家期待值比较高，也因为大部分人可能看的是爱奇艺删减版。前半集的确稍显温吞也不够恐怖，但gabriel身份揭开的瞬间还是看的我虎躯一震，可惜的是最高能的点出现早了点。最后一直蹲一手小反转结果就结束了…
温子仁拍cult片更适合不给他多少钱，像这部预算看着就很高，有一种真实的虚假让人很不舒服
还是牛逼啊。倒着走的打斗动作，有点既诡异又飘逸，故事也不错。不过看完才放映过来，能打电话+能控制周围电波，这属于胡扯啊。
