The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不愧是写出出租车司机这样经典character study的大师！自我救赎的焦灼作为他永恒的命题，放在今日，依旧不过时，尤其是那几个主观广角镜头，真的能把人看得如痴如醉。
施拉德的写作是70年代classical Hollywood式的，始终有一个hook吸引着看下去，所以完全不会觉得闷。他知道什么该交代什么可以省略，每一场戏又会与前面或后面的某场戏产生呼应，整部片是一个有机的整体，很好看。但是施拉德的拍法是反类型的，这两种风格的混合形成了一套他独特的美学。
只拍了一个月就杀青了， 这个水平可以理解。
比《第一歸正會》難看不少。尋求救贖的男人總喜歡在一塵不染的房間裡頭寫字自省哦！可真把WSOP拍得毫無競技性可言。那個USA真是牌技高超的白男沙雕，演員搭配和表演調度看得怪尷尬的。這片子各方面都人工且直白，賭場裝潢不洋氣，但電影不能這麼不講究的吧。

不好好打牌搞赎罪不是个好算牌人，约的炮又太重口味了
淡淡的忧伤，说不上来的感觉；记忆深刻的一个人在被白被单裹好的桌子上一边记录，一遍喝酒的场面；可能内心中有这样的渴望。
要说乏善可陈倒也不是，本片努力的在标榜我不是流水线爆米花，还夹杂了虐囚事件，PTSD等现实关怀，但是整体非常闷，看完也没有什么想回味的点，高不成低不就的样子（奥斯卡伊萨克太有型了）
太高冷的电影，看不懂。打着算牌的幌子，讲的是一个很晦涩的主题，不是我的菜

以为能看到类似赌神的剧情，看来想多了。。。
要不是因为Issac 不至于看这片 太催眠了
