The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不过一个健全的异性恋顺性别男性虽然要接受惩罚但至少有家可回，他所经历的无非只是一场关于性/别的思想上的挣扎与接纳。相比一个酷儿无以为家、无工作着落的未知而残酷的生活，占据了影片主要戏份的男主只能说是小痛小痒，让人“懒”于共情。而性/别酷儿的遭遇只是寥寥几笔简写，观众最后沉浸在相吻的满意结局中自得其乐，却忘了对Sara来说更残酷的生活已然开始。

虽然最后的情节小离谱 但是我觉得这样主题的电影很有必要 拒绝动物表演 从我做起
之前和英国朋友聊起青梅竹马，她不明白人为什么会对playmates一生难忘。现在我才明白，“青梅竹马”不是childhiood playmates，而是childhood crash.

情节一般，风景很美，mozart和dreamer好可爱啊，总体是个很温馨的故事
比男主眼力更快的是这拼命赶剧情的叙事节奏，恨不得“嗖嗖”两小时给你讲两百年故事。
崩溃，泄欲，思考，回归。
前半段节奏控制得那么好，到后面怎么就突然崩了？

导演对爱情这件事倾注了过多的温柔，以致于忽略了现实的合理性。两人带着对方的爱意离开看似很美好，实际也是更大悲剧地开始。
