The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 林则徐找的演员太差,他一直演反派了,应该找个看面相就一身正气的人来演.导演目光太小了,应该拍百姓的苦难,怒火,把眼光放大,而不是一直放在那几个人身上,看不到百姓的苦难和怒火,只看到几个人一直打打打.
一般，没有逻辑的神勇警探一个人独闯窝点破获大案，除了编剧黄专家演的比较出色没有任何看点。
打斗激烈，但剧情有几处 太假 。历史还原的不错 真实。演员演技也都在线。
套路满满，没有一处没被安排。近期看到的第四部刀刃穿手的片了，虽然时间跨度有点大，爆裂刑警→双探→怒火重案→本片，10来年过去了，进步不大呀。ps，我就不明白出现了三个女性角色，加起来也就10来分钟的戏，盒饭就这么容易领么？尤其后两个，省去一个有问题吗？虽说是动作片，情感戏要不就别来，要不咱也别处理的这么糙呀。

3.5吧，情节还行，不过一人独斗电信帮有点扯
打得狠。谢苗的容貌和气质，越来越适合反派角色了。
这两天看谢苗的电影有些上头啊，打斗场面太爽了，别人一打十，谢苗直接一打几十，别的不说就冲这对打戏就值得一看，也期待谢苗以后的作品，是金子总会发光的。
出路就是把打戏的环节像《极速追杀》一样拍的极端出彩

整体来说，算是一部动作片。不过剧情紧凑，从侧面显示了当时禁烟的困难。不错不错，可以二刷的一部电影
典型的乳化电影，每一个镜头都充满了刻板的羞辱和歧视。想用美国个人英雄主义，但是却非常浮夸，0星都不为过

这电影名字翻译的属实不咋地，电信诈骗的剧情确实是当下热点，就是不知道真实情况下会有多少如电影中被追要回来的好运了。剧中运用了很多专业诈骗术语和诈骗方式，观影后确实能有一些启发。国家的这个“国家反诈中心”APP据说能起到很好的防诈作用。
