The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 百老汇音乐剧果真不同凡响，从舞台设计、场景切换、光影效果到台词音乐都无可挑剔，女机长简直太酷！如果说上周刚看过的《转折点》试图拼接起正面的历史，这部音乐剧算是另辟蹊径地挽起一朵火焰，照耀出那段时光的影子。唯此空前绝后的经历方可配得上传奇人生，我亦多么渴望有一天坐在不明方向不知终点的航班上，将我可怜可笑又可叹的故事说与你听……
小舞台，省演员，12人个个分饰多角，营造出人声鼎沸之感。技术上节奏明快，过场如飞，毫不拖泥带水，却一点也不突兀，有非常高水准。故事上就是一报告文学，却让人看得津津有味，灾难之际陌生人似乎更易释放善意，写得足够细腻。当然对于遭受更多苦难与灾难的人群来说显得似乎有些矫情。

it's all about recovery and salvation. 能够关照到911之后第二天的日子和远离纽约的加拿大小镇 这个视角太绝了 人文关怀就是如此。当初在伦敦没能看到现场版太可惜了 演员们的转场和角色切换就几乎在一秒之间 情绪拿捏得恰到好处 this is the stage energy
