The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. I may never find a musical that speaks to me like La La Land, or maybe it’s not a musical I should be looking for. And stories like these, they make you wander why, and how could I.

都说有压力才有动力
确实挺creative的，能看出来林聚聚倾注的真诚炙热，但可惜碎片化的表达没能让作品更进一步，音乐剧做底都会有这样的桎梏。Jon的故事很好哭，加菲的表演超出预期。致，每一位追梦人，每一个充满勇气的梦。
Andrew Garfield唱歌还蛮好听嗷，不过再过两年感觉他的脸就要彻底松了。台词真的是，太絮叨。
看到片尾那些乔纳森当年的片段 才发现加菲是真的好像他 导演为同志角色平添的颜色很闪耀 那竟是真正打动我的部分
一个烂俗的故事线配上了不伦不类的迪士尼音乐和尬舞：（
是一部让人时刻保持热泪盈眶的音乐传记片，用音乐剧讲音乐剧作家乔纳森·拉森30岁前倒数一个星期，有困厄中的真诚，有挣扎里的决绝，有在现实的错愕和梦想的触不可及之间摇摆不定的真实，还有源于生活碎片的情绪堆叠出的强大感染力，无论哪种程度都令人动容。LMM在保留自身音乐剧风格的同时，也能看出视听上借鉴了鲍勃·福斯，将音乐蒙太奇运用得尤为出色，尤其是中段那首I feel bad That you feel bad，配合着拉森与女友矛盾爆发的情节，是我心目中的MVP最佳段落。加菲的表演有一种震撼人心的真诚力量，他的那双大眼睛总是饱含热泪，虽然唱功不如专业歌手，但这种扑面而来的真诚太容易引起共鸣了。
这种人社会里有不少，可惜能冒尖的真是凤毛麟角；有人为他树碑立传，也不枉他人世走一圈了。
歌舞片，没什么亮点，创作者就是不停的写写到能被看中为止，然后继续写

针的滴答声贯穿全片，营造出一种无法挥散的焦虑和紧迫感，是年龄焦虑，是创作焦虑，人终有一死，我们应当用有限的时间做什么？
三星半。不错的改编，某种程度上的元音乐剧电影。有了乔纳森·拉森的音乐剧，才有了电影，而电影讲述的又是音乐剧的起点，两种艺术借助不同的载体从形式到内容各方面完成呼应，好几幕都不乏动容时刻。
非音乐剧粉真的很难感受其中的热爱，现实与虚构的反复横跳令人迷惑，在华丽画面和欢脱的舞蹈之下却没有对人物的深思。
乔纳森是不幸的，英年早逝。

表演夸张，容易出戏，无时无刻不在提醒你这是部音乐剧，然而我甚至已经不能被这样的「城市逐梦记」打动了……even though it was adapted from a true story...
看完会发现，好像男主身上并没发生什么事，把一个作品交出去，等待被发现或者被埋没，自己并没有什么可以做的，剧情的很大一部分都靠身边人的故事在推动。
