The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     没什么法国味的法国片，倒是充满了九十年代港片的文艺感。片中喁喁私语般的独白，配乐的声色感，以及开头那段车水马龙、嘈杂的群戏，搭配绚丽的霓虹灯和时而空旷时而拥挤的街道空镜，太有港味了。朴素的对白、简约的故事；夜半醒来四周黑暗寂静的房室、窗外漏进一缕缕若隐若现的路灯，骑着电驴拥着另一个人的腰在夜色中疾驰，这些都是超级动人的场景。整体构成了一部平淡叙事的优秀家庭片，淡而有味，少盐健康。看完之后觉得这部家庭片最牛的地方是，无论你的原生家庭是否幸福，都一定能有所触动。生活苦累交加，所幸总还有美丽的事物值得保藏。
