The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 影片是历史真实事件改编，虽说是冒险题材，但中心并没有放在荒野求生，冰原探险上面，甚至没有宏大的风景与特效加持。重点则放在了人物内心刻画与背负艰巨使命的执着感。
“我今年30岁，从没交过男朋友，也没谈过恋爱。”这还刻板印象啊。以及聚会不该喧闹吗，安静留给无人知晓的夜吧。

但是，好多剧情还是很尴尬
一开始还挺真实，越往后越狗血，最后竟然成了一部狗血心情鸡汤般的温馨爱情合家欢。。。浪费了这个背景，也让这个题材变得相当低龄化了。
真羡慕丹麦人，连荒岛余生都是简单模式。他们有两个人，有用不完的燃料吃不完的食物，甚至还有个安全屋，在北极生活八百多天俩人的胡子都没有丝毫变化，心理上最大的危机是幻想出来一出三角恋，最后被契而不舍的救援队救了。PS：结局处有大船的彩蛋。

好久没看到这么欢乐的同志电影了…第一次觉得《Sometimes》这么好听，Brithey真gay icon！
国家利益？还是儿女情长？还是一个男人不愿回忆的过去？
有趣的点有，但是不多。出场的每个gay都有完美身材给人的感觉还是重返异性恋视角俊男靓女那一套。
