The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 对文学创作图景的复原与时代勾勒- -关于时至今日也足够津津乐道的假新闻与小报文化，也细数出版的困难和挣扎，更囊括新兴的技术与追逐；这些部分耳目一新，也同样被丰富地填满在角色的这些经历之中（更加增添了想买译文那套插图珍藏本原著的想法！）。但这之外的情感戏，旁白的闪现都显得散漫；得承认是因为大家的颜，才把感到吃力的部分迈了过去
男主从无名到兴盛再到没落，拍得还可以，但故事本身并不怎么吸引人～
男主画上烟熏妆那个镜头我真的一个爆笑，导演感觉没有太多想象力，电影本身中规中矩，旁白过多甚至有偷懒的嫌疑，无奈巴尔扎克的故事太过扎实，两个半小时丝毫不觉冗长。有机会补个原著。

因为 蒂姆·布雷克·尼尔才看的，小格局西部片，没想到他的真实身份是。。。。
服化道太差了，把当时巴黎上流社会拍的太寒酸了
退隐的高手，叛逆的儿子，“连鱼都能追踪”的墨西哥人，满满一袋钱……西部片没有这些俗套的设定也就不好看了。
他是下河洗干净呢，还是投水幻灭？很喜欢巴黎鳞次栉比的小剧场。

Allociné的评分还挺高的，电影院看的我觉得也还ok。就是正片2h30，无数次我都在走神，但是不妨碍get故事情节。剧院 记者 贵族 很多主题可以挖一挖！
我能看懂这个故事
竟然是billy the kid 的后传电影。《神弃之地》是接过了《赴汤蹈火》新西部片的棒，那这部就是老西部片复兴啦！
Lucien本来要讽刺一本书，然而在他看完书后，说"我无法诋毁这本书，它有着力量，感情...文章inspired，sincere，never conventional."
电影的优点来自原著，缺点来自除了文本其它平平。中间那一段幻想华彩明显放错了地方。估计是篇幅的原因，收尾太晚太轻。而最致命的是，对于主题与现实的关联有些肤浅。看完觉得最厉害的是巴尔扎克。
我真没想到会被这么古（老）典（旧）的叙事感染到，一些地方值得细品。
