The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 「音樂劇」部分密集但印象深的音樂卻不多；「電影」部分的劇情和拍法都乏善可陳，ending的友情線高潮顯然比整部戲的愛情戲要可觀得多。整部戲主要靠剪輯上舞台與戲劇的對切塑造節奏，相信做成舞台劇其實會更有感染力。
电影中那首几乎磨死乔纳森的金曲《胜于话语》里，创作者问到，“恐惧还是爱？别说出答案。”
歌曲的旋律不错，但歌词更像口水歌，至于人物原型，由于对舞台剧零认识，艺术家的悲歌，作品都是创作者死后才能发扬光大，身价倍增，因为已绝迹！

拥有非常饱满的情绪，但是音乐剧电影，，，，，以后还是绕道走。
每看一强行凹出了情节故事线，英国人钟爱的happy ending
歌舞片+传记的结合，做到一些很有趣的段落，比如餐厅+交响乐，吵架+牛仔乐，试图用一个音乐剧讲述了他一生里的朋友
没想到人物弧光落在了白人男性觉醒，然后开始尊重女性和LGBT权利。就这点屁事从13年《为奴十二年》到现在了还在拍。

仆人和主人的等级越来越模糊，可以说是一个命运相系的big family，戏里戏外，生老病死，在残酷的世界尽量幸福是真谛。
这一部依然很唐顿，没有太多的波澜起伏但是却很隽永，看到最后老夫人的去世以及人来人往，还是很唏嘘。P.S.唐家屯电影系列就是每一部看完都想把剧挖出来再看一遍。
听说托马斯的戏份被删光了就没去电影院，希望这次他真的找到幸福了吧。作为大结局非常好了。
这么点破事拖了两小时，歌挺好听的
