The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 现在来看这部电影，觉得还是有很多想说的。疫情最后证实不是出自中国🇨🇳每晚八点（记不太清是不是八点了）大家一起打开窗户为医护人员鼓掌的场景恍如隔世。现在疫情依旧在，掌声或许已经藏在心中。在法国的大家已经习惯covid的存在，也不会过于恐惧担心（也不知是好是坏）。电影的最后宝拉的离世、Diago抱着宝拉的骨灰回到小院的时候，大家的举动让我瞬间泪目。疫情无情但人亦有情。希望世界和平大家生活幸福❤️
这是我看过第一部讲述关于新冠疫情的电影，看着电影里居家隔离的邻居们因为疫情从彼此陌生到相互熟络，从彼此猜忌到相互理解，不由得感叹疫情带走了很多，但似乎也留下了一些东西，法国人用他们特有的法式幽默，展现了他们面对疫情时的乐观态度以及种种看法。看到他们不戴口罩的时候，我不禁替他们捏了把汗。疫情无情人有情，比病毒更可怕的，是人们的无知和冷漠，愿逝者安息，生者坚强。
我真的要为今年的国产网大们鼓掌，好作品层出不穷且百花齐放，虽说题材依旧是那么常见的几类，但的确拍出了新意，而且制作扎实，品质有显著提升。这部依旧是电竞题材（吃鸡），类似的剧情其实也有人拍过，而且设定上借鉴了很多电影，但本作很好的把热血励志，屌丝逆袭，父子亲情跟行业黑幕这样的经典戏剧冲突做到了标准的“好莱坞化”与接地气的融合，甚至动作场面设计也很细致，扩充了游戏的真人化之后的表现力，又燃又有想象力，个别段落虽然夸张但却都可以拿来做教学案例。虽然叙事上还有点儿毛病，不过瑕不掩瑜，简直都溢出屏幕的正能量。最近的网大怪兽剥削，现代动作剥削和古装剥削实在太多，你们也好歹走点儿心动动脑嘛。
总是不明白一个养活自己都很难的人，却拼命想要孩子抚养权，也不知道是不是真爱这个孩子。孩子他妈又不是设定成一个坏人，给孩子一个更好的生活环境才是真的爱吧。和你一起受苦算什么爱？就是自私嘛。。。游戏也是，一定是要遇到各种波折诱惑加放弃，最后一定会拿到冠军。对手一定也要是个反派，一定不能心心相惜。。老套的不需要动脑设计了。
从一个比较轻松愉快的描述疫情隔离，十分法国。谁能想到2022年看的时候我的小区也还是在封闭式管理的呢
全片笑点频出，但插科打诨全都穿插在主要剧情当中，几乎没有浪费一秒。
我没玩过吃鸡，抱着研究网大和电竞的心态看这片子，没想到让我大开眼界！动作场景、比赛进程设计相当成熟有趣，可能因为依托现有游戏？反正这一块的冲击力能吊打内地院线电影，让我忽略了文戏的缺点。打游戏失去老婆，资本控制游戏，这都过于直给了，像当年的港片。男主说，人们逃避现实，渴望在游戏中才有的公平竞争，却玩完一局又开一局持续逃避，这一点才是升华，可惜只由台词而非由故事呈现。沉迷游戏但父爱如山，儿子因为父亲也有游戏梦，是在剧情主线外增加的好莱坞保守主义亲情俗套，可能也符合现实情况，却是在为游戏的成瘾性洗白。对比来看，勒布朗演的烂片《空中大灌篮2》同样基于保守主义家庭主题，对游戏与体育、虚拟与真实的关系呈现可能还更多一些（但也不深入）。另外，以本人2009年以来魂牵梦萦的青岛作为背景，让我多加至少半星。
5.5/10，剧本比较拉垮，非游戏部分都可以直接跳过~游戏晋级的结构比较旧，但还算好用~最后一场决赛还挺燃~
前面的游戏画面还挺有代入感的，没想到结局那么扯淡，感情戏更是一塌糊涂，除了男主，三个队友的角色太弱难以立驻
PS：这类游戏确实是好还原一些

男主仔细看挺帅的，那种不修边幅的颓废下埋藏着对生活的失意和对游戏的热情，其实这种人最难能可贵，就是一点火星但不会熄灭，一旦找到理想所在就能熊熊燃起，总得来说电影可看度还是挺高的，推荐。
如此的质量刷新了对网大的新认知，国产网大也是能拍好的。故事流畅，服化道到位，不说故事要有多创新，如此这般就已经很好的满足了期望，倘若网大都能有这质量那该有多好
