A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.
Flodders (1986) is available on DVD in Germany in a dubbed German version in Dolby Digital 5.1. under the name:

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

看了上海最近防疫的新闻，突然和这部电影的两位主角有了深深的共情。。。开始也许是昌大的愤怒，最后就是丁若铨的绝望。。。
有一年中秋，独自往衢山岛，至夜，月满，于海边礁石上抱膝听海，吟诗抒怀。是袁崇焕的一首七律，是讲知己之情，而我只一人，觉得孤独无比。
信念幻灭竟然是以如此惨烈的方式，徒弟努力过了，但这痛苦让人难以承受。师父在斗室里说这是一个不需要王的世界的时候，被薛景求迸发的理想光芒灼到眼睛，愿为这个时刻加个一星。谢谢导演，感受到了久违的文化之美。
用一条人命换来的正义，换来的砖瓦房，还是令人难过。这律师一看长相，就是高种姓，不然根本不敢三番两次得罪警察。不过身居高位，依旧能为底层人民发声，天必佑之。
充满诗意的风物志也是人物志，对东亚儒学 士大夫之类刻画深入浅出，反思多于批判，让我想起前些年《沉默》和《思悼》（和兹山一个导演。个人印象最深的还是片子前期丁若铨在昌大/兹山人身上发现的大道至简，结尾昌大全家望着远处的兹山岛，镜头逐渐推进，真就“此心安处是吾乡”
他们被冠以低种姓人，是排除在四大种姓之外的原住民。没有配给卡，不能购买低价粮食，不能参与选举，更没有自己的土地。他们甚至可以随意的被贴上任何标签，盗窃者、罪犯…虚假案件的受害者！
好像在看邻居的电影，但到处是我们自己的影子。好像在读过去的历史，其实讲的又是今天的故事。所有焦虑和挣扎的源头，不过是如何过好这一生。
根据真事改编的为正义而战的事情。台词也很精准！
一曲理想主义者的悲歌：糊口易，得道难，若要济世却几乎不可能，他们只能退隐山林，享受属于他们的孤独，所谓“小隐隐于野，大隐隐于市”则是可遇不可求的一种境界。
乌贼墨放置久了，浮墨会脱落，无法看见字迹，但是倘若将纸浸入大海，字体便会再次显现出来。
二小时四十分钟的长度是印度电影的常态，影院会中间休息一次，片子歌声、舞蹈不断，使观众尽兴。本片确是表现了一个很严肃的主题：低种姓部落人群为腐败的官僚警察体系迫害问题。时至今日，印度民间也没有彻底摒弃残忍的种姓制度。尽管法律中没有种姓规定，更明令禁止种姓的不公平对待，但蒙冤的「不可接触者」还是大有人在。本片直面这一残酷的现实，令人感动。低种族演员们的群像写得、演得非常到位，值得夸赞！虽然正面律师过于“伟光正”，但也是满足了观众、社会呼唤正义、除恶的心声。
5.教育是一个国家的根本和未来，印度虽然有保护人权，反对种姓歧视的种种法律，你不知道如何维护自己的权力都是白搭！
10/10。太爱这部电影了，可惜这电影不是拥有悠久儒家文化的中国人拍出来的。

經典雋永的主題，動人的故事，水墨般的山水風光……中規中矩、完成度很高的商業電影。其實觀看過程中感觸最深的部分是同類難尋、孤掌難鳴的寂寥感。特別是對月吟詩那幕，「今人不見古時月，今月曾經照古人」。

前半段真好哦~淳朴的民风，人文气息浓厚，配以水墨画风~轻盈而美好~但是下半段昌大入仕之后，又转为韩式国类型片的套路之中，轻盈不再~心中充满理想的少年当然不能理解看破本质的先生，大可以不用这么激烈的呈现~有点遗憾
“副检查员有资金、种姓基础和当地的支持，罪犯有种姓、金钱和权利支持他们，但是受害者呢？我们是他们的全部。”
