The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 奈飛不要毀我的Jane Austin了。。。。求求了mv式劇情還有對話式互動真的別用了老套得想吐🤮
政治正确的选角令人有一点点不适应，但是人设和故事还是贴合原著的，因为自己对简奥斯汀的偏爱，所以觉得这部电影还不错。影片里的乡村及海边的风景也特别漂亮，不过部分手持摄像镜头还是晃得我头晕。
奈何奥斯丁的故事永远在我心里有个soft spot，看到这片还是点开了……这拍得我觉得我在看Fleabag哈哈
就当看旅游观光片吧 以及看米其林厨师做菜真是种享受
我看过的韩国电影里面最差的。。。因为每次拿过一部看看都还不错，这次就因为车胜元才看的，结果没有胡子的车胜元太。。。看过《雅典娜》这部电视剧的都知道他留着胡子太酷太帅了，这部电影开始还有点儿意思，结果就成科幻了，还不如就这么拍下去呢，科什么幻啊！无聊ớ ₃ờ
第一次灾难电影带着喜剧效果，明知道主角不会死，还是捏把汗。韩式地心历险记。。
太灾难了…看完甚至想找07版电影来治愈…虽然是现代化改编，却还是沿用着古代背景显得格格不入，女主自白的手法乍一看新颖，但实际用起来又格外别扭。原著最romantic的看情书到电影里就变成anne忽做感动状深情诵读，尬得让人脚趾抠地，还没有07版无声日剧跑来得有感觉。不同于原著端庄隐忍，内心又无比从容强大的anne，电影里那个耍酒疯，在社交场合毫不讳言的女人真是让人大跌眼镜……总之还是求求现代人别折腾Jane Austin的小说了，翻来覆去的现代改编都是那些浅薄的道理，完全沾不到半点原著的深刻内蕴。

好尬呀....普罗旺斯，托斯卡纳这些地方的电影，用山谷、海岸、彩色房子、松林、草地、旧木椅和形形色色的美食串起来就好啦...为什么偏偏要加点爱情...
以前写过关于劝导的论文，非常喜欢这版的电影改编——其中有很多后现代主义的设置让人惊喜，独白和对话里有强烈的女性主义意识。故事情节引发了我的共鸣，台词和Anne跟观众的眼神互动里有典型的简奥斯丁式反讽，喜欢有浓厚当代色彩的改编。

特效廉价，剧情简单，人物扁平，光洙欧巴怎么演什么都像演轻度智障的那种感觉呢，。。
政治正确，且女主活泼得像个穿越的现代人，我真的会谢
演员阵容不错，剧情比较狗，但是最后的水箱也是捏了一把汗，奇迹般都存活下来了。
不称职的旅行，不愉快的食物，不讨好的爱情。
奥斯汀改编古偶，也不是不可以，但不要这么庸俗好不好？每一句女主望着摄像机说出来的台词，每一个chick film傻大姐式俗套桥段都让我尴尬得直打哆嗦，尤其女主在饭桌上大声说出妹夫原来要娶自己来着，电脑前的我尴尬得呀，真想砸了电脑，然后让自己钻到书桌下头去了……
