Based on the 13th Century Borneo sacrificial rituals, “Curse of the Totem” tells the story of Dr. Sani who goes in search of his wife, who disappeared on a genealogy expedition to study the ancient mythical legend of Jerunei ‘Burial Poles of the indigenous Melanau tribe in Borneo.
Burial poles mark burial still exist today as gravestones, marking the loss of other human lives that were sacrificed on behalf of prosperous nobility. Human sacrifice was outlawed in Sarawak Province in the 18th Century.
Combing through the Borneo jungle for answers, each member of Dr. Sani’s team experiences inexplicable hallucinations, malicious disturbances and eventually are haunted by unexplained spirits of the dead. Things take a turn for the worse when one of them is completely possessed by evil forces.
儿子的第一部电影，儿童片里算剧情紧凑流畅的。整个故事线设定比电视剧更具情感色彩和说服力，人物对不同事件反应更有血性。

L’histoire dans l’Histoire, limiter ce Belfast à un quartier et son petit monde rajoute une touche sentimentale et intimiste, hélas, le réalisateur préfère s’appuyer sur une boursouflure stylisée dont les effets clinquants et les stéréotypes accouchent finalement un récit doucereux et scolaire.

跳舞的段落挺美的，看完大概能理解为何乔治·贝斯特会那样地乖张了。
看小盆友的反应，应该是很满意…完整的一次看完，没有被吓着要走
究极无语，说什么低龄动画，狗说话就看不下去？谁才是低龄啊你也不想想，照这么说市面上绝大多数片子都是低龄离谱设定，一千年前的古人都比你有创新精神
故事除电影里的部分用彩色体现，其他的带来的黑白质感印象令人极为深刻。
“好”与“不好”可能在此处不是一个评价自传体乡愁电影的标准，导演能自我感动和自我沉醉就很好。打四星因为我对那地方有滤镜，就这样。
Wee真是个可爱的单词…不喜欢但也不难看，配乐有点造作，整体有点candy-coated但完全没有必要的那种…小男孩还算有灵气，就这样吧…cheerio!
从成年人的视角来说，真的再也不想看为小孩子创作的动画片了。全片看下来，一直在思考吸云机器如何在短时间内吸完全城的乌云，爆炸时为何会产生风暴，狗的装备如何在短时间内制造出来，搭云梯拯救乘客时云梯为何那么稳定的物理学原理，薄薄一层速干水泥怎么固定住质量相对很大的高架桥，市长这个人物形象存在的合理性……感谢九年义务教育，感谢鞭策本人学习的所有老师同学朋友！是你们让我不再沉迷于此类动画片！！！

总得来说就是导演肯尼斯布拉纳的一部童年回忆录，相比阿方索卡隆类似题材的大师之作《罗马》，这部《贝尔法斯特》显然更加通俗易懂，但通俗必然会导致艺术性的缺失。无论是故事题材，镜头语言，黑白滤镜的运用都有模仿《罗马》，却远不及《罗马》的影子。在现实意义层面上，影片对动荡局势下普通人的描写十分打动人。在俄乌战争的大环境下，真心希望那些鼓吹战争的人，能从这部电影中看到政治斗争对于普通人来说意味着什么。
人物刻画和TV版完全不一样，人物扁平，故事中二。黑发莱德变雀斑棕发白人，一些无语。
还是舒服的。海报说明一些问题，刀剑与盾牌。爱尔兰的人民不只贝尔法斯特，贝尔法斯特却有着肯尼斯·布拉纳。故事怎样讲是他的自由意识，对内容不做评说。不过音乐很好听，怪不得他拍的影片都比别人浪漫一些……

质量不错，但不是中文配音扣一颗星。
非常喜欢。以小男孩的视角讲述了那个年代的混乱时局，但妈妈的清醒、果断有魅力加上爸爸努力的寻找出路，还是使人看到希望。妈妈实在是太漂亮了，那种古典的、经典的魅力，爸爸后来也发现很帅啊，有点保罗·纽曼的样子。
