片尾令人潸然泪下的歌曲是Asimbonanga，由祖鲁语演唱的合唱和用英语演唱的诗句组成，在反对种族隔离运动中广受欢迎。（理想主义者永远一腔热忱）
改编自真实事件。三位南非自由战士执行任务时被包围，三人慌不择路跑进银行。很快警方将银行包围，三人本打算乘坐直升机逃跑，却差点被警方拿下。再次进入银行的三人提出最新的要求——释放曼德拉。至此，一次本来不会有很大影响的破坏事件，成为了历史上有一定影响力的英勇行为，并全程被媒体记录下来。结局当然是失败告终，但银行里白人对黑人的态度，黑人自己的怯弱，以及军方对此次事件的态度都耐人寻味。

很燃！编剧和导演带有明显的偏向，把三位MK战士塑造的弱势又强大，暴力又正义！但这是根据真实事件改编的，一分真实四分改编，为自由而战没错，但就真实事件而言，三位主角远没有电影塑造的完美～但凡挟持人质相关的电影，多多少少都会展示斯德哥尔摩症候群，本片也不例外～自由，对普通人，从古至今，都是最贵的！
不如，直面问题坦然自处之！
另外三位南非“革命先驱”在片中形象真的一点都不高大全。男主卡尔文有哮喘，也不像是特别聪明的人。但当你看到他们为了那个在当时根本不可能达成的目标而拼上一切时，又深深的使人动容……

这是我见过最温和的抢银行，这是我见过最。不害怕的人质。30年前的80年代的南非，到底是黑人说了算还是白人说了算？麦格拉在民众中的心目中的地位是如此之高。
女孩子无论什么时候都面对着比男性更多的荆棘。好喜欢小杏，美好又温柔的少女。全校大会那段发言让我为女孩子心动又心疼。性少数群体的确挣扎在社会边缘，但是无论如何不该用她人的血来暖自己。结尾解释的一个伏笔有点震撼，其他的没有了。
呵呵，看看南非现在的样子，你们自由了，如愿了，可天堂实现了吗？

现实远比电影悲凉，这样牺牲了，诉求也是在10年后才达成
