阿莫多瓦水准之下。两条主线有些割裂，导致看到最后有些莫名其妙。喜欢阿莫多瓦对于女性和母性的表现。孩子的父亲是谁或者做了什么，在他看来似乎根本不重要。
是无法理解明知不是自己亲生的还继续错下去也是醉了。
母亲与祖国，新生与逝者、未来与过往，“父亲的不在场”，快门记录了时代，也承载了历史。

从两位母亲之间的真相还原与历史真相的还原形成“平行” 但总感觉这样的呼应有些勉强了 并不是所有时代的大事件都可以聚焦到小人物身上很好的进行表达 还有莫名其妙的lgbtq情节

不同于是枝裕和的《如父如子》，影片在讲述女性的情感之外，还有对历史沉重的剖析和反思。所谓“平行母亲”，一为当下的詹尼斯与安娜这种个体式、原子式的母亲（mother），一为过往的凸显西班牙内战历史的宏大视角的祖国母亲（Mother）。
未断代的母系史与以母性为线索的对历史与未来的双向追溯，如果减轻对历史与血缘的反复强调会更加完美。
这部是真一般。除了很容易看出阿莫多瓦的个人风格一样，看不到什么东西。
