The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 恍然大悟！原来绑匪是音乐剧演员金宰范！！！！
6.5分。说是翻拍《解救吾先生》，但其实就是解了个壳。整个电影少了太多原作里的那种博弈和智斗戏码，变成了部简单的韩式动作片了。黄政民自己演自己本来是个非常好的噱头，但没太多发挥演技的空间，也就随便看看吧。
而没有呈现出黄政民一丝一毫的真实质感
看在黄大叔被暴揍的份上就3星哈哈，这电影反派不够出彩，还不如国内的王千源
开头结尾不错，比起大陆版本，里面的黄政民就扮演的黄政民，很有真实感。但是绑匪有点降智，内斗我都有点没看明白。而故事又太个人英雄主义，演员把绑匪都干趴下了？警察都成了陪衬。一个演员智斗可以，但以力破力真的太玄幻了。
剧情改动较大，动作戏增加了很多，警察和绑匪智斗部分明显让位于黄政民大叔的自救，所以其实把原作的亮点平庸化了，个人觉得没那么有心意。绑匪一味凶残没了个性，警察鸡肋无褒无贬。黄政民大叔和刘德华的性格不一样，所以韩版的很‘黄政民’，主要选择动手。片尾字幕最后还是加了原作信息的，在最最后面😅
即使是黄政民也救不了这电影，翻牌的太扯了。
两个漏洞：一是黄政民给朴胜雄打电话用的是绑匪的手机，这个手机一直没关机，警察为什么不追踪定位？二是黄政民在电话里发求救信号用的是自己主演的《非法交易》里的两个警察名字，那么影片中特地设置的秃头粉丝绑匪都听不出来吗？为了凸显他真的很傻吗？

反派找的那演员倒是都大长脸模样，电影里警察太弱了，全是炮灰，给男主设计的有点过于强大，反而不好看，这算是我看过的黄政民片子里最不好看的一个了，要不是因为他是主演我都不想看这翻拍版，既不喜欢王千源刘德华的原版，也不喜欢这个韩国版 PS女绑匪 嗯嗯 真好看

韩国版《解救吾先生》，黄政民原名出演，剧情情节做了部分修改！棒子国的警察办案与实战能力真是有待提高，女绑匪C罩杯，神经质的老大爷，人质自救暴力抵抗绑匪，勇敢无畏！“吴若甫事件”中主犯带的自制手雷，终于在棒子国街头炸响！哦西把！
这才是合格的本土化改编。为什么海报晃一眼背影就知道是黄政民呢？真是奇怪，这个继宋康昊之后韩影最有魅力的男人。

韩版解救吾先生，虽然有黄政民演自己，但是从剧情到角色深度都比我们原版差不少，特别是韩版绑匪，和王千源的原版完全木有可比性，原版绑匪实在很难超越…
从中国的现实性群像戏，变成了个人英雄秀了，情况又不像是危情十日那样，让人觉得不寒而栗，能够拔升这部电影的方法，我有个主意让李政宰被绑架，黄政民演劫匪（他和王千源的表演风格很像），金允石或者崔岷植来演警察，效果绝对好很多
被解救后 看到神似绑架者的演员还是心有余悸
老黄确实演技牛逼。初入敌营时眼角不经意滑落的泪。
工业流水线作业，反派太能装了。这导演绝对是黄政民忠实粉丝啊，有种在看黄政民同人文的感觉哈哈哈。
