The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 哈，死于不知道怎么节约用水和怎么跟陌生人打交道。也是活该。

别惹连姆·尼森系列，不过也有些英雄迟暮了。
很真实但有点乱。扑面而来的英雄迟暮美人易老啊。
连姆尼尔森的动作还是那么的干脆利落，毫不拖泥带水，看的还挺带劲的，尼尔森也老了，越来越多这种英雄白头的无奈感的戏越来越多，有点唏嘘

阵容豪华,全是老一代 的经典影星. 感觉现在看各种动作片,突出一个字,无脑.

马马虎虎，属于看了也就看了，不看也没必要强求的
比预期好很多，动作干净利落。剧情完整，但有点碎。挽救回的记忆，那个威胁电话，没有成为关键点。正义还要靠非正义来维护。男神女神都老了。
年过七旬阿尔兹海默症老杀手，刀尖舔血想退休。幼时兄弟二人遭禽兽父亲性侵虐待留下阴影，今朝见墨西哥女孩被白人权贵残害良心发现。再次化身《夺金营救》与《行过死荫之地》中的边缘地带人物，孤胆英雄以暴制暴。
一星专给三位老廉颇，故事剧本很一般，整体也比较平淡。
结尾太潦草了，皮尔斯的部分应该再长一些，就饱满了。马丁从《英伦对决》开始，似乎就很喜欢这种英雄迟暮的戏码。看着连姆大叔垂垂老矣，皮尔斯也是帅气不再，时间还真是如川而逝。
关键时刻，枪里竟然没有撞针？这个故事告诉我们什么，细节决定成败啊！
看完才发现是马丁·坎贝尔作品，动作片大咖一直在线。老尼森的硬汉本色终于有了些新意。痴呆症健忘不如杀的干脆，死的随性！只可惜了贝鲁奇那杯红酒。
剧情七零八落的，为了跟片名记忆呼应上在最后硬生生来了一出靠记忆找到关键证据的桥段，我真是醉了。
很多设定的作用并不突出，人物转变和情节推进比较唐突。
真的很奇怪，虽然连姆叔近几年的高产网大我基本都没看，但是上次看他的冷血追击我居然意想不到的喜欢，而这部片子就像边境杀手版冷血追击，又让我前所未有地给一个没及格的片子打了四星。其实应该是双雄的戏但是只宣传了连姆叔一个人，皮尔斯的妆造其实是能把人更带入故事的，尤其在是观众已经疲惫到看见连姆叔的脸都知道他下一步要干什么的如今。结局落在了墨西哥警探身上绝对是优点，但故事的动因不成立也是绝对硬伤，也许主创也发现迟暮杀手洗心革面，对于救不动了的连姆叔来说是个适配度极高的题材，不过毫无逻辑和铺垫地开始故事还是可见草率。如今看连姆尼森一年十部网大，可能和港片迷看那一大票劳模一年十部片是同样的感受，如果不是流媒体，投资再多一点，这片子是可以小爆一波的，但可惜在小时候的银幕偶像现在不复英勇，电影市场不逢盛世。
