The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 居然有人拿这部片子和罗马比，完全是两个地域和冲突背景的东西，而且此片的质感不强，做成黑白格调没什么意义。贝尔法斯特把那种对立表现地很弱，甚至没有表现对立面，主要刻画的是更让人不安的内部矛盾。因为各种原因背井离乡的故事很多，但贝尔法斯特并不出色。
但是，看到本片的男孩在即将离开Belfast之前的家中，喊出“I don't want to leave Belfast”。能感到这才是本片作者最接近表现情感的时刻。
漂浮的情感，Too much songs。donan的男配Buzz我不懂。
Shedding tears in the theatre. Delicate, quiet, floating, and touching. Textbook-level shots and larger-than-life themes. Brilliant end and soundtracks.
孩童视角的叙事，时代动荡，街区暴乱，家庭纷争，在大的阴暗混乱的背景之下，自取一丝小的温情回忆。与亲人的温暖相处，与同学的懵懂情谊，连同剧院里的色彩，共同构筑他的童年。不由得会联想到《罗马》，虽多一丝匠气，但依旧很喜欢。（2022.02.18）

影厅里时不时传出笑声｜妈妈好美｜影片播放之前看到Downton Abbey的预告片，本人作为Judi和Maggie奶奶的粉丝真是双厨狂喜（又想去再刷一遍《女爵印象》lol）

【D】剧本还是很好的，但奈何布拉纳一塌糊涂的导演水平和拙劣模仿，空有堆砌的技巧的糖衣炮弹。
对于小孩儿不愿意离开熟悉的环境已经产生不了同理心只会因为权衡了利弊觉得他无理取闹烦躁的自己感到悲哀
爵爷卸甲归田拍了这部半自传，有些地方拍的还是蛮魔幻，北爱冲突也没描写的太惨烈，目的就是为了给故乡的情书保持温暖的基调吧。小时候我对宗教能引发冲突也会觉得不可思议，现在老了逐步能体会到复杂性。
看哭了。在国外这么多年其实没怎么想过家，甚至有点怀疑自己是不是没有良心。但贝尔法斯特让我怀念起童年生活，不管时代背景下在发生什么，或者父母家长邻里之间在发生什么，小孩子的忧虑只有那么点大。爷爷很让人心疼，在战乱年代保持一颗诙谐的心是一种超能力。
Jojo Rabbit➕罗马，但只学到了前者的匠气和粉饰太平，拍不来后者的格调和感染力
乞丐版「罗马」，罗马里的儿时街道和大家庭处处透露出“低头思故乡”的故土情结，而这部片的导演只对现在的荣华富贵和影片中出现的老电影感兴趣，整部片只有这些出现过彩色。
好吧，不是每一次黑白都是影片牛逼嘎嘎的特征
最后居然还“献给留在故乡的人”“也献给外出的游子”“以及迷失了自己的人”，这是拍电影，不是写散文诗！
私人回忆+儿童视角+黑白影像，好像也变成了新套路。
